Great notebook, but disappointing battery life October 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I absolutely loved this laptop. I don't have much to add to the reviews. The guys who already posted a review have said it all.
The only thing I din't like about this notebook, though, was the battery life. It lasts only for 2 hours with the WiFi on and 2 and a half hours if I turn it off, even if I set the Power Saver energy plan. It disappointed me a lot, since I can't avoid comparing it to any Apple notebook, whose battery lasts up to 5 hours with a similar 6-cell battery and similar processing speeds.
very good October 3, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very nice laptop. Works without any problems. It was written that processor type is P7500 2.0 Ghz, but the truth - P8400 2.26 Ghz. It is surprise. I think, that with video card 9600 GT this laptop would be the best.
HP laptop September 20, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
has a lot of power for laptop, worth the price, didn't have any start up problems, very sleek for any age, like the lightscribe cd.
Only thing I would change is the key are hard to read because they are sliver with light black ink printed letters. If the keeps were black with white letters that would be easier to reach especially in low light. However, I am sure the PC wouldn't look as cool!
Better than promised! September 16, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This should be a 2.0hz cpu,but my example has a 2.26ghz cpu. I do NOT complain about that for sure! Also,it has one e-sata connection, i did not expect that!! The only bad thing is that the IR-sender/reciever is locked to the remote control. So i cant use it to send files via IR from my cellphone. Its also a bit....scary you get no cd or dvd whatsoever. You have to create that yourself,and...hope they work. But...it works just fine, and me and my friends really like the design of it also.
great one for desknote September 11, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's been two weeks since I bought the dv5. A couple of things I did not aware of when I ordered. - its 64 bit vista instead of 32 bit: several compatibility problems with the OS. It's, though, a fault from MS instead of HP. - a little bit bigger in size than I thought: I don't blame HP since I should have been known the size and I love the design. In short, it is a good desknote with its strong processing power including the graphics.
